Responsibilities of the role
Infrastructure Architecture and Management

a. Utilize expertise in infrastructure architecture to design and implement
robust and scalable solutions for data centers, servers, and networks.
b. Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Unix operating systems to
ensure optimal performance and reliability.
c. Administer network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls,
and VPNs, to facilitate seamless connectivity and data transmission.


Emerging Technologies and Cloud Computing:

a. Stay updated with emerging technologies such as cloud computing,
desktop virtualization, and unified communications, including O365, Azure
VDI, and AWS Cloud servers.
b. Demonstrate proficiency in managing cloud resources to optimize cost,
performance, and security in platforms like Azure and AWS.
c. Execute MySQL database migration activities and administer MongoDB
Atlas for efficient data management.
d. Manage AWS S3 buckets for secure and scalable storage solutions.


Network Security and Telephony Administration:

a. Implement network security principles and best practices, including VPN
configurations, firewall management, and antivirus solutions such as
Bitdefender and Fortigate.
b. Administer telephony systems, preferably Avaya IP Office, to ensure
uninterrupted communication services for the organization.

Active Directory and User Support:
a. Manage Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group
management, password resets, and multi-factor authentication (MFA),
ensuring efficient access control and security.
b. Provide user query support and resolve technical issues related to
infrastructure components and services.


Vendor Management and Cost Optimization:
a. Coordinate and negotiate with vendors for procurement of hardware,
software, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to
service level agreements (SLAs).
b. Implement cost optimization strategies in Azure and AWS to minimize
expenses while maximizing resource utilization and performance.


Cloud Resource Administration:
a. Administer Azure Active Directory, including user and group management,
access control, and identity and access management (IAM) with rolebased access control (RBAC) extensions.
b. Manage Azure resources such as storage accounts, virtual machines
(VMs), disks, and network interfaces to meet organizational requirements.
c. Handle Office 365 administration tasks, including domain management,
user provisioning, and license management.
d. Configure and manage network security groups (NSGs) for controlling
inbound and outbound traffic in Azure.


AWS S3, Server Migrations, Antivirus, and Firewall Management:
a. Manage AWS S3 buckets, including configuration, access control, and data
lifecycle management, to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of data.
b. Plan and execute server migrations, including physical-to-virtual (P2V) and
virtual-to-virtual (V2V) migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and data
loss.
c. Administer antivirus solutions and firewall configurations to protect the
organization’s network infrastructure from malware, viruses, and
unauthorized access.


ISO Compliance Management:
a. Manage ISO compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to relevant
standards and regulations for information security, data privacy, and
quality management.
b. Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to support ISO
certification requirements and audit readiness.

2-4 Years of Software Development experience with relevant technologies

Minimum 1 year experience in either CI (codeigniter) or Laravel

We are looking for a PHP developer responsible for the development and maintenance in our suite of SAAS based software products. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Sales teams everywhere are about targets and goals. There’s no contention about this. Segregating the goals further is one of the practical ways of motivating a Sales Team. 

Give them goals for the day, week, and month. Daily goals are short-term and accomplishment should be associated with a pat on the back, accolading in a team meeting, etc. Weekly goals are much meatier and more tangible. Not just cash and money, increments and promotions – these are essential, of course. But, more than that, devise attractive reward schemes. Free lunches or dinners, a day off, a movie break for the entire team, going out to attend a sports match as a team, Friday BBQs, participating in a philanthropic cause, a foreign trip, etc. There’s no end to innovating newer ideas to make your sales folks feel appreciated and valued.  

5. Multi-tiered rewards  

If you keep rewards only for the winners, you may end up motivating only a select few. Some assume that they will never win or achieve their targets and therefore will not try hard. Some feel that the winner is already pre-decided and will never try hard enough to get to the crossing line. Multi-tiered rewards ensure wins for multiple winners and therefore, there’s always something for someone. Everyone will try to be that someone. Consequently, the performance of the team is bound to get better. 

6. Recognition  

Another crucial aspect of what can motivate a sales team is recognition. It is a basic human need and for the people who are selling your products and services in a highly volatile and competitive environment, recognition can do wonders. Email blasts across the organization recognizing team members with their photos, awarding salesperson of the month, an Employee Hall of Fame for consistent achievers, callouts from colleagues, etc., are simple ways to recognize.

What to say to motivate your sales team?  

Earlier in the article, we spoke of patting the back, appreciating the person, saying positive things to the salespeople, etc. But what are things that can be said to the team to keep them pepped up always? Try some of these. These are very, very simple yet most of us forget it amidst the day-to-day toils of work and life.  

  • Thank You. If not every day, say it when they make small but significant contributions. 
  • What is your opinion about this? It shows that their views matter and not just yours.  
  • Wonderful, that’s great. Highly motivating words from a boss to the person who is toiling hard on the ground.  
  • Is there anything that I can help with? This shows that you are there to fall back on in case the team is facing any issues.  
  • It’s a ‘We.’ Together as a unit you will stand and win, but as solos and individuals, there are more chances of failure.
